In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency of our warehouse equipment and facilities. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all equipment is functioning safely and reliably. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a dedication to workplace safety. You will work closely with the warehouse operations team to minimize downtime and optimize workflow. The ideal candidate will have a background in equipment maintenance, a solid understanding of logistics operations, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential problems. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure minimal operational disruption.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or electrical systems preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment and tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as Lifting (up to 40 lbs) and working in various warehouse conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
