Are you a skilled and certified Reach Truck Operator? Join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Portland, Oregon! We are looking for experienced operators to manage the movement and storage of goods at height. In this role, you will operate a reach truck to transport, stack, and retrieve items from racking systems, ensuring efficiency and safety. Your expertise is crucial for maintaining optimal warehouse flow and inventory accuracy. This position demands precision, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Pick and stage orders from racking systems with precision.
- Perform daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring clear access to racking and aisles.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and put-aways.
- Follow all guidelines for proper lifting techniques and safe material handling.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence within the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck; valid certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures and PPE usage.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing on and off equipment and occasional lifting.
