You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials. Your primary focus will be ensuring materials are moved safely and accurately to their designated locations. This position demands physical stamina and a commitment to safety. You will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting both receiving and shipping departments. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of safe equipment operation and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in training on material handling techniques and safety best practices.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
