You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in training on material handling techniques and safety best practices.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
