Our Richmond, Virginia facility is looking for energetic and detail-oriented Pickers/Packers to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This position is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are fulfilled with precision and efficiency. You'll work with a team to maintain high productivity standards while adhering to all safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order forms or electronic devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Package products securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and restocking.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet or exceed daily picking and packing quotas.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Commitment to workplace safety practices.
