Join our logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in beautiful Virginia Beach, Virginia! This dual-focused role is essential for managing the flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all entries. Concurrently, you will manage outbound shipments, ensuring orders are accurately picked, packed, labeled, and prepared for dispatch. Proficiency in using shipping software and managing various shipping carriers is highly desirable. This position requires excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. You will be a key player in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely deliveries. Safety is a top priority; all employees must adhere to strict Safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses. The role involves frequent physical activity, including significant Lifting of packages up to 50 pounds, standing, and moving throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Label shipments accurately and process shipping documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE during work hours.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving roles preferred.
- Experience with shipping software and carrier management systems.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Commitment to Safety and workplace best practices.
