We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of outgoing orders. You will be responsible for preparing, labeling, and staging shipments, as well as maintaining shipping records. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. You will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare shipping labels and documentation.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carriers.
- Maintain shipping logs and update inventory systems.
- Communicate with carriers and internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Operate shipping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping or a related field is preferred. Must be able to perform Lifting up to 50 lbs. Basic computer skills are required. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics is a plus. Commitment to workplace Safety and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
This position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and occasional crouching. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Exposure to varying temperature conditions may occur. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe and organized workspace. We provide necessary training and ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
