Are you a meticulous individual with experience in warehouse operations? We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our logistics hub in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment goods arrive. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming inventory against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly documenting all received items. You will work collaboratively with our inventory management team to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent discrepancies. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential. This position requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. We prioritize a safe work environment and expect all employees to strictly follow safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experience with forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus, but not always required as training is provided. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring the smooth flow of products into our warehouse. Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial. - Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify quantities and product information against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately enter received items into the inventory system.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed.
- Must be able to handle frequent lifting.
