We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our operations in Kansas City, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and safety of our warehouse equipment and facilities. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently to support our logistics processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and racking.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of parts.
- Operate a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and experience with PPE.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is an advantage.
