Join our busy and efficient logistics hub in Sacramento, California, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! This integral role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all inbound and outbound goods. You will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring they are correctly received, inspected, and put away, and also play a key part in preparing outgoing orders for dispatch. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent attention to detail, and can thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against documentation, operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred), scanning inventory, and maintaining accurate records. We place a strong emphasis on safety; therefore, all employees are required to strictly follow all safety protocols and diligently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical dexterity and the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments for dispatch, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize scanning equipment and warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers for shipment pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Contribute to the overall smooth operation and efficiency of our logistics network.
- Must be capable of frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
