Our fast-paced logistics facility in San Francisco, California, is seeking a meticulous Shipping & Receiving Associate. This critical role ensures the accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for verifying, inspecting, and documenting all goods received, as well as preparing shipments for dispatch. This includes operating equipment, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring that all items are handled with care. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and shipping procedures is essential. We are committed to a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position requires the ability to handle frequent Lifting of boxes and packages, as well as the stamina to work efficiently in a dynamic setting. Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are necessary to succeed. You will work closely with supervisors and other team members to manage the flow of goods and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
- Prepare outgoing shipments accurately
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Ensure compliance with all shipping and receiving procedures
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and PPE requirements
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized dock area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and PPE usage
