We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our growing logistics operation in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Your role will involve coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This is a vital position within our warehouse, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of goods. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including documentation such as bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify accuracy of shipping orders against packed goods.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the shipping log daily.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipping status.
- Operate shipping software and ensure all data is entered correctly.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming shipments as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of materials and equipment.
- Manage inventory of shipping supplies and reorder as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
- A commitment to workplace safety and efficient logistics.
Physical Demands:
This role involves standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. Occasional lifting of boxes up to 30 pounds is required. Employees must follow all safety guidelines, including correct lifting techniques and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE. Ensuring a safe work environment is our top priority in all logistics functions.
