We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our Kansas City, Missouri facility. This role is vital for maintaining the optimal functionality and safety of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and inspections on various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and racking. Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of racking systems, dock doors, and other structural elements.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, complying with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Operate basic tools and machinery safely during maintenance tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and work boots.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a maintenance or technician role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Understanding of logistics operations and warehouse equipment is beneficial.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting.
- Must be able to wear all required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.
