Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mind, a deep understanding of inventory management systems, and a commitment to upholding standards of Safety and efficiency within our logistics operations. Your work will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and manage resources effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Manage stock rotation to minimize obsolescence and ensure product freshness.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all inventory movements in the system.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy and flow.
  • Monitor warehouse conditions to ensure product integrity and Safety.
  • Train staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Support logistics and operations by ensuring accurate inventory availability.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving some physical effort, including occasional Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of Safety regulations related to inventory storage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
