We are seeking a proactive and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate for our San Francisco, California location. This role is integral to our logistics operations, encompassing the management of both incoming and outgoing goods. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for shipment. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics best practices is essential. Safety is our utmost priority, and you are expected to strictly follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. This position requires physical capability, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
- Stock inventory accurately and maintain organization within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory movements.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving significant lifting and manual handling of goods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving frequent and heavy lifting.
- Strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
