We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and working closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient operations. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in inventory control. Your dedication to precision will be paramount to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly and thoroughly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Manage inventory reporting and maintain accurate records in the WMS.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to optimize stock levels.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to minimize loss and damage.
- Implement and enforce Safety standards related to inventory handling and storage.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory procedures and best practices.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and efficiency through accurate inventory management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role within logistics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs). Understanding of inventory control principles and best practices. Commitment to workplace Safety and the use of appropriate PPE. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
