We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth flow of goods, maintain accurate inventory, and uphold strict safety standards. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that products are handled with care from arrival to dispatch. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel, including supervisors and team leads, to coordinate the movement of materials and fulfill orders accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We are committed to providing a safe and productive workplace, and all employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols. Your attention to detail will be key in preventing damage to goods and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. You will be expected to perform routine checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition before and after each shift. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move pallets, cases, and other materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated warehouse areas.
- Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods to support order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
