We are searching for experienced individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position is key to the efficient operation of our logistics center, ensuring that products are handled with care and precision. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on all equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Accurately count and verify inventory items.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety vests, steel-toed boots, and any other job-specific gear.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime.
