We are looking for a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to efficiently move and store inventory at elevated heights, ensuring optimal use of warehouse space. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move and store palletized goods.
- Retrieve and place inventory in high-level racking systems.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks and maintenance of the reach truck.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Accurately record inventory movements and update the warehouse management system.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and Safety.
- Be prepared for occasional manual tasks and light Lifting when not operating the reach truck.
- Support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency in reach truck operation.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and equipment operation.
- Ability to work at heights and in narrow aisles safely.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform occasional manual tasks and light Lifting.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with a comprehensive logistics and inventory management system.
