As a Software Engineer at MFC, you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development platforms. What You Will Be Doing Lead/Develop Embedded Software Requirements/Architecture/Design Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications Plan, conduct, and coordinate technical software development activities Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Basic Qualifications BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering or related field Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation in last 5 years Real time embedded software development experience is required Linux/Xilinx tool suite C++ and/or C computer language SW Design/architecture experience - specifically for algorithms development and design Experience working with HW/SW and testing in HWIL is required Desired Skills Knowledge of Cameo, software design, and architecture. Full software development life-cycle experience. Agile development methodology (Atlassian Tool Suite). Experience working in early technology/demonstration type contract. Experience with DevSecOps, Gitlab CI/CD tools. Technical document development. Technical review presentation development and delivery. Experience mentoring SW team members. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
