We are actively seeking experienced Reach Truck Operators for our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is critical for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our high-density racking systems. You will be responsible for safely operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve palletized materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of safe operation, a valid certification, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse safety protocols. This is a key position within our logistics chain, requiring precision, efficiency, and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to transport, stack, and retrieve materials from racking systems.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Perform routine pre-operational checks on reach trucks and report any issues.
- Maintain organization and accuracy of inventory stored at various heights.
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory verification processes.
- Follow all established safety procedures and warehouse guidelines.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE, including safety harness if applicable and mandated.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Contribute to a positive and safe work culture.
- Valid reach truck operator license or certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating reach trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in navigating narrow aisles and high racking.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control systems.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety standards and the mandatory use of PPE.
