You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, documenting receipts, and moving inventory to designated storage areas. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Tag and label all incoming inventory appropriately.
- Move received goods to designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail. Safety is paramount, and all employees are trained on safe lifting techniques and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE to ensure a secure working environment. Your contribution to our receiving logistics is highly valued.
