Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Tag and label all incoming inventory appropriately.
- Move received goods to designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors or relevant departments.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
