Join our bustling logistics center in Miami, Florida, as a Receiving Clerk! This role is fundamental to the accurate and timely processing of incoming goods. You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and ensuring all items are properly documented and moved to their designated storage locations. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for inventory placement or further processing.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and logistics team members.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems are a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all protocols.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
