You will be responsible for receiving shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and ensuring all items are properly documented and moved to their designated storage locations. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for inventory placement or further processing.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and logistics team members.
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems are a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and following all protocols.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
