We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary program at a new restaurant in Mount Vernon. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating menus that showcase local ingredients and farmers, and a strong background in kitchen management.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the daily operations of a 7-day restaurant and events operation
• Developing and implementing menu concepts that align with the company's vision for local sourcing and sustainability
• Leading a small team of line cooks, prep, and dishwashers to ensure nightly service and execution meet established standards
• Managing labor and food costs to optimize profitability
• Coordinating purchasing and prep lists to support the operation
Requirements include:
• 2-3 years of experience as a chef or sous chef in a high-volume, independent restaurant environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with digital systems, including Google Suite, Tripleseat, and scheduling platforms
