Pastries Operations Manager

This role oversees the execution and strategy of pastry operations across four locations, ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in all pastry offerings.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on leadership with business acumen to manage staff training, inventory control, recipe development, and compliance with health and safety standards.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their experience and skills to elevate our pastry program and drive success.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example, maintaining positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.
  • Ensure all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Develop and implement pastry and bakery menu items, including daily and seasonal specials.
  • Work collaboratively with management to create innovative pastry and bakery offerings.
  • Properly document all recipes and techniques to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Maintain the highest level of food quality, meeting the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  • Monitor purchasing to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet our guidelines.
  • Verify all pastry department products are delivered in the correct quantities and quality.
  • Implement policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs to drive excellence.
  • Supervise and train employees to maintain company expectations of food and service quality.
  • Achieve sales, cost, and profit objectives through effective labor scheduling and adjusting based on sales trends.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and facilities, focusing on the pastry department.
Qualifications
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Minimum 3 years of kitchen management experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Formal culinary training with an emphasis on pastry.
  • Food Service Manager Certificate required.
