We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and supporting the overall function of our dental team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Prior experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with pediatric dentistry, is highly desirable.
*Duties*
* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
* Assist in chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient patient flow.
* Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Review and update medical records, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
* Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
* Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive general dentistry services.
* Assist with medical coding and documentation review for billing purposes when necessary.
*Skills*
* Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures.
* Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics is preferred.
* Skilled in chairside assisting, including medical imaging and vital signs monitoring.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and EMR systems for accurate documentation.
* Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations, including children.
* Knowledge of aseptic techniques, anatomy, and infection prevention protocols within a dental setting.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $43.97 - $52.95 per hour
