Our team is looking to add a Financial Operations Coordinator to support the Finance and Accounting team with day-to-day transaction processing, documentation, and internal controls. This is a hybrid position in downtown Toronto, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and processes in a structured, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process payments, including domestic and international wire transfers
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records for all financial transactions
- Ensure that approval workflows and documentation meet internal control standards
- Support month-end and quarterly financial reporting activities
- Assist with tax-related filings such as HST returns
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and investment teams to coordinate payment requests and documentation
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Provide backup support to other finance team members when needed
- Assist with ad hoc reports and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- College diploma or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business administration
- 2+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or accounts payable role
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Experience with financial systems such as JD Edwards or Accpac is an asset
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
