Our team is looking to add a Financial Operations Coordinator to support the Finance and Accounting team with day-to-day transaction processing, documentation, and internal controls. This is a hybrid position in downtown Toronto, ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and processes in a structured, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process payments, including domestic and international wire transfers
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical records for all financial transactions
  • Ensure that approval workflows and documentation meet internal control standards
  • Support month-end and quarterly financial reporting activities
  • Assist with tax-related filings such as HST returns
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and investment teams to coordinate payment requests and documentation
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide backup support to other finance team members when needed
  • Assist with ad hoc reports and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • College diploma or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • 2+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or accounts payable role
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • Experience with financial systems such as JD Edwards or Accpac is an asset
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
