After-School Tutoring Teacher – English

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Teacher to inspire and educate students across k-12 grade levels. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, Computer Science, or Special Education.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect.
• Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and observations; provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs.
• Incorporate technology and computer skills into lessons to enhance engagement and understanding.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student development and address any concerns.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Skills

• Experience working with children in an educational setting or tutoring environment.
• Strong knowledge of Math, English, or Special Education principles.
• Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Effective communication skills for engaging students, parents, and staff.
• Classroom experience demonstrating ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners.
• Passion for teaching and fostering student growth through innovative instructional methods.
• Mandarin is a strong asset.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
