Clarity Animal Hospital is Billings’ _only_ locally owned emergency veterinary hospital and was opened in January 2025 by Dr. Kayla Erickson. Dr. Erickson is a 2015 Washington State University graduate and Billings native that has devoted her entire career to emergency medicine and critical care. The first open-concept clinic of it’s kind in Billings, MT, Clarity Animal Hospital strives to make their patients as comfortable as possible during their visit. This includes keeping the pet with their owner through as much of the process as possible. Blood draws, catheter placement, and stabilization of critical patients take place with the patient’s owners right by their side, if they wish.
Clarity Animal Hospital was built with the mission of providing superior patient care and to provide a calm, safe environment for pets and clients, and to create a positive culture for all employees to work in. We are currently open from 7am Friday to 7pm on Monday, with plans to expand to 24/7 within the next year.

Clarity Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled Emergency Veterinarian to provide the highest quality, fast-paced medical care to pets and support to the clients that love them. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys the challenge and reward of emergency medicine. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
*About the role *
* Provide emergency and urgent care services to companion animals
* Perform thorough animal assessments quickly to determine treatment priorities and develop effective intervention plans.
* Perform diagnostics, medical management, and emergency surgeries
* Administer medications, fluids, anesthesia, and perform advanced procedures such as animal catheterization and aseptic techniques.
* Stabilize critical patients and formulate effective treatment plans
* Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, staff, and referring veterinarians
* Collaborate with experienced technicians, assistants, and fellow veterinarians
* Contribute to a supportive, learning-focused environment where everyone grows together
* Handle animal restraint safely and compassionately to facilitate examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
* Maintain detailed medical records of all treatments, procedures, and patient progress in accordance with veterinary standards.
* Support pet owners by explaining treatment options clearly and providing guidance on post-care instructions.
