At Southwest Healthcare Services , we take pride in delivering exceptional care and fostering an environment of clinical excellence. *About the Role*
As our Director of Nursing, you will lead the nursing and care-services department at our hospital, including oversight of our swing-bed unit (which functions much like a long-term care setting). *Key Responsibilities*
* Oversee daily nursing department operations: staffing, scheduling, regulatory compliance, clinical standards.
* Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans tailored to patient needs and preferences.
* Recruit, train, coach and evaluate nursing staff; build a team culture that’s engaged, empowered and inspired.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with facility policies and state regulations.
* Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support patient rights, dignity and well-being.
* Monitor nursing care quality metrics, identify areas for improvement, and lead initiatives to enhance care.
* Stay current on advances in nursing practice, medical terminology, anatomy, and care-plan development, and support ongoing team education.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
* Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
* Demonstrated experience in nurse management/leadership within a critical access hospital or similar setting.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, patients’ rights and care-plan development.
* Excellent leadership skills: comfortable being approachable, visionary, and motivating a diverse clinical team.
* Superb communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients and families.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of care and a positive team environment.
