Business Development Representative (Cold Caller)Role Overview
We're seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to lead outbound cold calling efforts. This role is the front line of the business, uncovering opportunities, starting conversations, and opening doors with decision-makers in service-based industries. You will not be selling a cookie-cutter product. You will be sparking interest in a consulting approach that exposes hidden inefficiencies and unlocks measurable ROI.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Calling:
Proactively contact business owners and executives (HVAC, mechanical contractors, and other service providers). - Discovery Questions:
Lead with curiosity. Ask where they are spinning their wheels, what they do not like doing in their business, and what their 2–3 year goals are. - Qualification:
Identify pain points, revenue leaks, and operational blind spots. - Meeting Setting:
Book qualified discovery calls for the Account Executive team (quota: 16 meetings per month). - CRM & Tracking:
Log conversations, outcomes, and next steps consistently. - Collaboration:
Work with marketing and operations to refine messaging, feedback loops, and outreach strategy.

deal Candidate
- At least 3
years of proven cold calling experience
in a B2B environment. - Strong communicator who listens first and mirrors prospect pain points before pitching.
- Resilient and comfortable with rejection. Views "no" as part of the process.
- Self-starter who thrives in a performance-driven environment.
- Comfortable with consultative selling (not transactional sales).
Not a Fit If
- You need heavy scripts or constant supervision to perform.
- You shy away from rejection or take "no" personally.
- You prefer transactional, one-size-fits-all sales instead of consultative conversations.
- You are not comfortable picking up the phone and making dozens of calls daily.
- You see this role as a short-term stop instead of a place to grow your skill and results.
Compensation
- Base + commission (per qualified meeting booked).
- Bonuses tied to closed deals.
