The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in providing hygiene services to our patients, educating patients on their treatment needs and maintaining their oral health. The Dental Hygienist must exhibit excellent customer service and professionalism to our patients and team members alike, while maintaining patient flow through the office.
The ideal candidate will possess clear communication skills, great attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of dental terminology and insurance coding systems. We are excited to find a motivated individual who can apply their experience to help shape and influence the care of our patients.
Responsibilities
* Greet patients upon arrival and follow the established intake process for patient check-in
* Record and maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
* Take X-rays, complete perio charting and clinical notes
* Perform routine prophylaxis cleaning or scaling and root planing as needed
* Assist patients in understanding their treatment options
* Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate treatment plans effectively
* Ensure the office environment is organized and welcoming for patients and staff alike
* Monitor and maintain hygiene-related supplies and materials
Requirements
* Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Ohio from an accredited program
* 3+ years of experience working in a similar dental practice role
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
* Thorough understanding of Open Dental or equivalent practice management system
* Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for this role
* Proficiency in dental terminology and private practice scheduling
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
* Basic understanding of office computer software (Word, Excel, Google docs, etc.)

Burton Family Dental Jerome is owned by Dr. Hannah Burton DDS, a seasoned dentist who has practiced in the area for over 13 years. Dr. Burton’s vision is to create a practice that revives the small town feel of building personal relations between the dentist and patient.
Instead of seeing a different dentist each time, patients and their families will be welcomed by Dr. Burton and her caring team of professionals. The services we provide are designed to meet the needs of each patient, children and adults alike.
This is a brand new and growing practice that has been furnished with high end amenities to create a comfortable environment for patients and staff alike. We use modern technologies to deliver high-quality results, no matter if it is a dental checkup and cleaning a patient needs, a customized dental crown, dental implants, orthodontics, or a new set of veneers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
