Responsibilities
Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, and other elicitation techniques with stakeholders (business users, subject matter experts, technical teams) to gather comprehensive business, functional, and non‑functional requirements.
Analyze and document current‑state ("as‑is") business processes.
Develop and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
Translate high‑level business needs into detailed, unambiguous, and testable requirements specifications.
Critically evaluate information, reconcile conflicts, decompose high‑level information into detail, and distinguish user requests from true business needs.
Partner with local and Head Office IT teams to understand system capabilities, features, and limitations.
Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements and strategic objectives.
Participate in design sessions and provide input from a business perspective.
Review and validate technical designs and prototypes against documented requirements.
Define solution proposals based on information gathered from system SMEs, considering available system capabilities, features, and functionality used by other platforms.
Drive project deliverables, manage timelines, and proactively resolve blockers.
Escalate issues impacting the project in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
Liaise with local and AMER compliance members on projects, ensuring that stakeholders are appropriately engaged.
Make recommendations to improve effectiveness and overall process efficiency.
Provide clear and concise project reporting to USIT management.
Qualifications
Domain expertise required: KYC / client onboarding / regulatory / compliance in banking or capital markets, with exposure to regulators such as FINRA and the Fed.
Strong business analysis capability: writing BRDs/FRDs and functional specifications; creating process flows and data flow diagrams.
Data and technical acumen: SQL and Python for data analysis; Power BI (or similar) for data storytelling; ability to pull data, reconcile across systems, and present insights.
