We are seeking a highly experienced Orchestrator / Business Analyst with strong Group Retirement domain knowledge and a proven technical background in mainframe technologies. This role serves as a critical bridge between business, operations, and technology, driving end-to-end orchestration of complex initiatives built on legacy platforms while supporting modernization and digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will combine retirement services expertise, hands-on BA leadership, and technical fluency in mainframe systems to ensure accurate requirement translation, solution alignment, and seamless delivery across multi-system, multi-stakeholder programs. Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Domain Leadership Lead business analysis efforts across Group Retirement products, including: Defined Contribution (401(k), 403(b)), Defined Benefit / Pension plans, Annuities and retirement income products Analyze and document requirements across the full retirement plan lifecycle: Plan onboarding, Payroll contributions and allocations, Vesting, loans, withdrawals, rollovers, distributions, Compliance testing and regulatory reporting Develop and maintain BRDs, FRDs, functional specs, user stories, and process flows. Act as a Group Retirement domain SME for technology and delivery teams. Orchestration & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary orchestrator across business, IT, operations, vendors, and compliance teams. Manage interdependencies across multiple systems, releases, and workstreams. Facilitate requirement workshops, solution walkthroughs, and design reviews. Coordinate priorities, milestones, risks, and issue resolution across stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts in business-friendly language and vice versa. Mainframe & Technical Engagement Leverage hands-on experience with mainframe technologies to bridge business and technical teams effectively. Work closely with architects and developers across: COBOL (batch and online programs), CICS (online transactions), DB2 (relational data models), VSAM (KSDS, ESDS, RRDS files), JCL, batch scheduling, and interfaces. Analyze existing legacy system behavior to support enhancements, regulatory changes, and defect remediation. Support data mapping, file layouts, copybooks, and integration specifications. Actively contribute to legacy modernization, system decoupling, and data migration initiatives. Solution Design & Delivery Support Partner with solution architects to ensure business needs are accurately reflected in designs. Review and validate functional design documents, interface specifications, and data flows. Support Agile delivery models as a Lead BA / Orchestrator. Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Define UAT strategy, Validate test scenarios and test cases, Support defect triage and resolution, Obtain business sign-off Governance, Risk & Compliance Ensure solutions align with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., ERISA, IRS, DOL). Support internal audits, control documentation, and regulatory change implementations. Identify upstream and downstream impacts of system changes and drive mitigation plans. Continuous Improvement & Leadership Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and simplification in legacy systems. Promote standardization of BA artifacts and orchestration practices. Mentor junior business analysts and offshore delivery teams. Contribute to enterprise transformation and modernization roadmaps.
