The Opportunity As a Business Development Executive (BDE) in the Commercial area, youll play a pivotal role within Allianz Irelands Sales & Distribution team, partnering with brokers across the wider Dublin/Leinster region to win and retain business. Working mainly remotely, with occasional office attendance, youll take ownership of your portfolio drive growth and retention, align with Allianz's strategic goals, and enhance broker relationships through proactive management. Key Responsibilities: Maximize growth and retention with your broker portfolio by identifying opportunities and supporting brokers to place and renew business with Allianz. Develop and implement strategic plans aligned to Allianz Irelands strategy setting clear targets and tracking progress. Build and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with key brokers, acting as a trusted partner and the key point of contact Deliver optimal outcomes in target segments. Conduct performance reviews of broker relationships. Analyse broker data to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve retention, profitability and customer outcomes. Represent and promote the Allianz brand and provide market feedback. Drive continuous customer experience improvements. Key Requirements / Skills & Experience Essential: Minimum 5 years experience in General Insurance (Commercial). CIP (Certified Insurance Professional) qualification. Proven track record of achieving goals. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Experience in stakeholder management. Knowledge of commercial lines of products. Full driving licence. Desirable: 3+ years experience in Customer Relationship Management. Experience in Sales with a proven track record. Familiarity with local regulatory requirements. Relevant third level or postgraduate degree. Expertise in Data Analytics and / or Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies would be beneficial. Ideal Candidate Attributes: Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues. Use customer insights for journey improvements. Balance broker needs with Allianz's strategic objectives. Apply commercial acumen for profitable growth. Manage workload effectively using data and judgement. Embrace continuous improvement and feedback. Act with transparency and integrity.
