Quality Inspector
Performs quality inspections and radiographic testing in accordance with established procedures. Responsibilities include: Performing inspections and tests in accordance with established procedures. Inspections and tests include mechanical, dimensional, document review, receipt, visual, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrate, ultrasonic, leak testing, and material verification. Operating, setting up, calibrating, and maintaining associated equipment and instrumentation. Providing oversight and discipline-specific guidance to Level I personnel. Evaluating and reporting inspection and test results. Adhering to all safety procedures and maintaining work areas in a clean and orderly manner, in addition to various assigned responsibilities. Observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performing other duties and activities as required. Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Working under minimum supervision. Typically reporting to a supervisor. Education requirements include: Two years of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities; or high school graduate. Six months of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities; or completion of college level work leading to an associate degree in a related discipline. Three months of related experience in equivalent inspection or testing activities. Physical requirements include: Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and to perform repetitive motions. Ability to reach with hands or arms, stand, walk, use hands or fingers, grip, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl and to perform repetitive motions. Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods of time. The ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting to 25 lbs. may be required.
