XML
À propos de XML
XML (Extensible Markup Language) is a markup language used to describe and structure data. It defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that ensures their readability for both humans and machines.
Because it is self-descriptive, containing both the data and its structure, XML is used to store and transport data. In contrast, HTML is used to format and display data. Another difference between XML and HTML is that the former does not have predefined tags, while the latter does.
The great advantage of XML is its simplicity and the fact that it structures large chunks of information.
