Role Profile The Commercial Associatewill support the Customer Retail Managers responsible for Irelands largest retail accounts (Tesco, Dunnes Stores, SuperValu, Aldi, Lidl, etc.).
This role will provide valuable exposure to retail sales, category management, promotional planning, and the execution of commercial strategies in a fast-paced B2C environment.
Responsibilities Assist Retail Managers in preparing for customer meetings, business reviews, and joint business plans.
Help compile sales decks, promotional calendars, and category insights for Irelands top multiples.
Track and support the execution of in-store promotional activities.
Analyze retailer sales data (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, retailer EPOS) to identify opportunities and risks.
Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports for retail accounts.
Support analysis of competitor activities, pricing, and promotional performance.
Support the setup and administration of promotional offers, product listings, and trade spend tracking.
Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure smooth execution of customer initiatives.
Assist in managing customer databases, contracts, and key account documents.
Participate in cross-functional projects such as new product launches, category reviews, and digital activations.
Provide ad-hoc support to Customer Retail Managers as required.
Requirements Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
Strong interest in FMCG, retail, and commercial sales.
Strong numerical and analytical skills; comfortable working with data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Nielsen, Kantar, or EPOS data an advantage.
Highly organised with attention to detail.
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-moving retail environment.
