Technical Sales Representative
to join its industry‑leading sales team. This role focuses on revenue and profit growth through consultative sales, building customer relationships, and supporting new technologies.

What you will do
Generate and execute sales plans in existing customer bases and in assigned competitively‑held accounts to meet profit increase goals.
Work closely with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that maintain and grow sales.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executives.
Provide technical support to customers; identify and resolve customer challenges, escalating as required.
Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and delivering written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
Actively sell and support Nalco Water innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long‑term business relationships.
Position details
Candidate must reside within a commutable distance from Indianapolis, IN.
Territory covers about a 125‑mile radius of the surrounding area.
Targeted accounts are within the Food & Beverage industries.
Less than 25% overnight travel required.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Technical sales or field sales support experience.
Position requires a current and valid driver's license.
Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.).
Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience.
Working knowledge of boilers operations.
Physical requirements
Drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (pre‑employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility).
Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Annual or hourly compensation range The total compensation range for this position is $81,200‑$121,700, which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
