In this role you will monitor and optimize system performance, maintain disaster recovery readiness, ensure compliance, and contribute to complex, crossfunctional global initiatives. If you bring deep technical expertise and a commitment to operational excellence, we'd love to have you on our team.
This role is hybrid, and based in our Niles, IL location.
Responsibilities

Manage and optimize virtualization platforms, demonstrating advanced proficiency in VMware as well as practical experience with alternatives like Proxmox. Ensure reliable and efficient operation of virtual environments, including hands‑on automation using tools such as Python and PowerShell.
Collaborate proactively with stakeholders across all organizational levels to interpret business requirements and implement infrastructure solutions. Support complex, cross‑functional projects on a global scale while ensuring effective communication and leadership within technical teams.
Monitor and optimize system performance, execute disaster recovery procedures, and manage compliance and risk mitigation to protect mission‑critical systems and uphold regulatory standards.
Guide, mentor, and support the infrastructure operations team, promoting collaboration, skill development, and adherence to established best practices across global sites. Provide strong leadership and foster technical excellence within the team by establishing, documenting, and enforcing clear operational and configuration standards. Ensure junior system administrators are equipped with up‑to‑date documentation and standardized procedures for system settings, configurations, and routine tasks, enabling consistent and reliable operations throughout the organization.
Deliver rapid and effective outage support in production and manufacturing environments, including incident response, root cause analysis, and coordinated recovery efforts to minimize downtime and support business continuity. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement preventive actions and enhance system reliability.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years' experience administering and maintaining global IT infrastructure in both on‑premises and cloud environments.
At least 4 years' advanced proficiency with Windows and Linux systems administration.
3+ years of hands‑on SAN (Storage Area Network) management experience.
2+ years implementing and supporting SAP systems, including S/4HANA.

Demonstrated ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, with at least 3 years in similar roles.
2+ years executing disaster recovery procedures and ensuring compliance.
Experience supporting complex, cross‑functional global projects for 3 years or more.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills, ideally with 3+ years guiding technical teams and collaborating with stakeholders.
