Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Systems Administrator is expected to be able to accomplish the following: Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). Comptia Security+ At least one Advanced Platform Certification:
RHCSA RHCE or Windows equivalent
Minimum 8-12 years of progressively responsible systems administration experience. Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise, multi-user environments in DoD or Intelligence Community settings preferred. Experience operating in classified environments. Overview We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency's Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Senior Systems Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Location: Annapolis Junction, MD Type of environment: Varies Noise level: Low Work schedule: Non-standard shift Amount of Travel: 20% PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. U.S. Citizenship Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance WAGE INFORMATION Target salary range: $128,000.00 - $160,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
