Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Alabaster, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting site personnel and public partners as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities, and assist with de-escalation, patient visitor interactions, and other security-related support duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or License.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
