Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with customers and staff, provide professional communication, and support daily operations with integrity. Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations, and document security-related incidents according to site procedures.
- Work with store personnel, visitors, and/or local first responders during incidents, medical events, and/or evacuations while following Allied Universal and site guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
