Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Lead in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post offers the chance to support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while bringing an agile, reliable, and people-first approach to every interaction.

- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with local leadership and/or public emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, theft, and/or other suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and restricted spaces, verify access when required, and report hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
- Support retail loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee activity, assisting with de-escalation during confrontational situations, and maintaining a visible presence throughout assigned areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
