$10K Sign-on bonus! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including hospitals and clinics. This role requires expertise in respiratory therapy techniques, medication administration, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Our facility is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, particularly within our Level I Trauma Center and inpatient units.
*Duties*
* Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
* Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, including vital signs and oxygen saturation levels.
* Provide basic life support in emergency situations and assist with ventilatory support for patients.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, particularly in geriatrics and pulmonology.
* Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management, medication administration, and home care techniques.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes within the department.
*Qualifications*
* Valid Respiratory Therapy license or certification as required by state regulations.
* Proficiency in respiratory therapy practices, including ventilator management and medication administration.
* Experience in hospital medicine or clinical settings is preferred.
* Familiarity with geriatric care principles is a plus.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: $35.69 - $46.63 per hour
