The WiserSites team is seeking an experienced Sr. Web Designer to create digital and web experiences for us and our customers. In this role, the ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter with at least 2-4 years of experience crafting beautiful and intuitive user experiences. Our websites are hyper focused for lead conversion, information, and research. We care deeply for the brand experience and identifying the end user when designing a website. All our websites are custom designs from wireframe to production. We never use templates or anything out of the box. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for interactive design but can also find inspiration in everyday things. You'll need to have strong strategic, creative and planning skills that enable you to effectively communicate, facilitate and drive design solutions. It’s important that the candidate knows how to deliver projects from concept to completion. You’ll be an integral part of the team, who is passionate about building products and delivering value to our customers.
*Role and Responsibilities:*
* Create marketing materials including (but not limited to) websites, style guides, landing pages, proposals, presentations, social media banners, slide decks and more. Final designs should be innovative, clear, concise, and consistent with the brand that is being represented.
* Be able to collaborate, critique, and brainstorm with other team members on innovative ideas and solutions.
* You are excited to be able to meet client expectations and reasonable timelines.
* Collaborate with UX/UI designers and all members of our design team to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma and Adobe XD.
* You’ll be asked (and be able) to deliver on developing multiple concepts.
* Able to clearly communicate ideas and support your design decisions, looking at best practices and past performance as key indicators.
* Work independently on projects, but also have the ability to drive the process.
* Take ownership of assigned projects including: asking the right questions up front, establishing goals, working within a multidisciplinary team, delivering the product on time, and understanding the results.
* Support client success by coordinating tasks within the team
* Must be able to deliver high quality work consistently and on time.
* Have a high level of understanding for front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to bring your designs to life, though you will not be asked to do any development work. We want to make sure that you understand the tech that is needed to bring your ideas to life.
*Skill expectations:*
* Proficient in digital design principles and practices, including typography, layout design, and visual design.
* Expert in using the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, and similar tools.
* At least 2-4 years of experience in digital interface and layout design.
* A Bachelor's degree in design (or comparable work experience) in a web-related field.
* Strong sense of design and advanced knowledge of typography, grid systems, and color theory.
* Proven experience with design for all screen widths from desktop to mobile and how layouts will respond.
* A strong portfolio showcasing user interface layout and design, digital version preferred.
* Experience working and designing with WordPress frameworks.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of strategists, marketers, and subject matter experts.
* The ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, work with managing deliverables for the larger design team
* Must be able to focus on the details, while keeping the larger business objectives in mind.
* Be a self-starter with the willingness to constantly improve and innovate.
* Available 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Available during western time zones PST/Mountain/EST (not offshore timing)
* Strong knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and frameworks like Bootstrap or Angular.
* Experience with business to business case studies is a bonus.
* Understand the difference when designing for B2C and B2B customers.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,500.00 - $78,000.00 per year
