Join our international team at the Postcode Lottery Group in the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, the UK and Sweden!
We are seeking a Lead Developer for our Sales Journey Team. In this role, you will spearhead initiatives focused on extending our checkout Process, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and A/B testing to enhance our online shop. You will work closely with a dedicated SCRUM team and collaborate with two other development teams (Core, Loyalty and Brand) to drive the technical vision and execution of our sales journey.

Your mission

Lead the development of our checkout process, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features and fixes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QE to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure code for our e-commerce platform.
Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical guidance and support.
Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues, identifying and implementing solutions.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our sales platform.
Collaborate with our Cloud Engineering team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of our salesflow.
Collaborate with our data science team to integrate data-driven insights into our shop.
Participate in planning and prioritization of development work, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring knowledge sharing and knowledge retention.

Your profile

At least 7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on e-commerce or similar industries.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex technical issues.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance regulations.
Nice to have

Experience with machine learning or data science.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Gitlab CI/CD.
Knowledge of web performance optimization and caching.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Test Cafe.
